Elise is a versatile player with a high IQ, athleticism and good instincts, which has allowed her to play at all three guard positions. She can frequently called upon to play the point, and she can be the go-to player both offensively and defensively, often guarding some of the best guards in the country. There are not many players who have accomplished individually what Elise Williams has at the highest level. She was the second player in program history to record over 1,250 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists, and 200 steals throughout her career. Elise will always find a way to affect the game and stuff the stat sheet.
Offensively, she is a dynamic two-way player who is a proven scorer, assist-getter, and team player. She can score at all three levels and has become an efficient player. She knows what shots to take, and when, and she can make the timely free throws to impact the game. Defensively, she can guard all types of players. She is disruptive and long, knows how to take away angles, she gets her hand on the ball when she digs and doubles, and her timing is impeccable.
She is fearless and has never backed down from competition. She loves challenges and prepares herself accordingly. Her IQ helps her navigate the floor at both ends and allows her to be a step ahead of her opponent.
‘I think the biggest compliment I can give Elise is that the team was just better with her on the floor, it didn’t matter the situation, I always trusted that she was going to make the best decision.‘
