Dejah loves the game of basketball, and it shows in the passionate way she approaches it. Her devotion for the game is shown through her work ethic in practice, games, and more importantly when no one is watching. Her desire to be great has allowed Cal U to continue to be one of the elite programs in NCAA Division II basketball. In her decorated career at the University, she has helped lead the Vulcans to two PSAC Final Fours and two NCAA Tournament appearances. She has earned NCAA All American status twice and was named PSAC All Conference First Team, PSAC Player of the Year and PSAC Defensive Player of the year.

Dejah’s leadership is something that stands out. She has the natural ability to challenge those around her and make everyone better. She is willing to hold her teammates and herself accountable. Dejah has a “whatever it takes to win” attitude and is very coachable. She catches on to different styles of play extremely quickly and can adapt to any system.

Dejah has unique attributes because of her size and length. She has the ability to play the 3,4, or 5 position. Scoring comes natural to her and she was a leader in that category in our conference both years she played. She can post up strong on the block and finish at the rim, her mid range game is excellent, and she has the ability to hit the three. She can handle the ball extremely well for someone her size and has become a sufficient passer, especially out of the paint.

Defensively, Dejah can guard 1-5 positions on the floor. She is quick enough to defend guards and physical enough to guard the paint. Her length on the ball gives opponents a ton of trouble. She has great timing for blocking shots and rebounding.

Dejah has a complete game, being able to play both ends of the floor at a very high level. She will always work and compete. She is willing to put the team first, understanding what role she needs to play to help the team win.
